Why Yoga?

It will improve your posture

By combining core strengthening with core mobility and perception, yoga can help improve posture. Better posture reduces anxiety, improves productivity, reduces back pain, and helps you breath better

It helps with concentration

Distraction and obsessive ‘multi-tasking’ is one of the neurosis of our time.  Concentration is shifting your focus from many things at once to one thing at a time.  Observing your body, breath and emotions through the yoga practice teaches you to focus your mind on one thing at a time. It is proven that as you observe your breath, it will slow down, and that as the breath slows down, the mind will follow suit. Over time practicing focus will shift you into a restful but aware state, which will recharge the mind and can help with enhanced mental facility and creativity.

It can be cathartic and help unlock stuck emotions

Your mat is a safe space to work through emotions you maybe haven’t let yourself address directly (or didn’t even know you needed to address). Sometimes a pose will start you crying and it won’t stop. That’s totally normal, so don’t try to rein it in—just consider it good (and cheap!) therapy.

Deeper breathing reduces stress and inflammation

In addition to being relaxing, deep breathing has been proven to physiologically impact the heart, brain, digestion, immune system—and maybe even the expression of genes. Deep breathing also alkalizes the body, keeping it balanced in its naturally slightly alkalized state.

You will have steamier sex!

Studies have found that yoga practice significantly increases levels of testosterone in the blood, which is in turn correlated with increased sexual desire and activity in men and women. Other studies have shown links between yoga and a variety of satisfaction factors in bed, including confidence and performance.

You will become more playful

Practicing yoga encourages us to approach new and challenging situations with curiosity and playfulness instead of ego and frustration. As adults we rarely attempt new things, like balancing on our hands or our head. Taking on physical, mental and emotional challenges as part of a ‘practice’ (instead of a ‘performance’) helps us cultivate ‘child mind’… where we are less goal-oriented and more present from moment to moment.

NAMASTE – Greeting Others

The gesture Namaste represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart chakra. The gesture is an acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another.

Definition of Namaste

Nama means bow, as means I, and te means you. Therefore, namasteliterally means “bow me you” or “I bow to you.”

How to make the Namaste gesture

To perform Namaste, we place the hands together at the heart chakra, close the eyes, and bow the head. It can also be done by placing the hands together in front of the third eye, bowing the head, and then bringing the hands down to the heart. This is an especially deep form of respect.

We bring the hands together at the heart chakra to increase the flow of Divine Love. Bowing the head and closing the eyes helps the mind surrender to the Divine in the heart. One can do Namaste to oneself as a meditation technique to go deeper inside the heart chakra; when done with someone else, it is also a beautiful, albeit quick, meditation.

How does it Work at the Retreat?

For a teacher and student, Namaste allows two individuals to come together energetically to a place of connection and timelessness, free from the bonds of ego-connection. If it is done with deep feeling in the heart and with the mind surrendered, a deep union of spirits can blossom, creating an environment based on Trust and Respect.

What to Wear and What is the indicated equipment for my Practice?

We truly believe the most adequate outfit is the one that makes you feel good! Nevertheless, it should allow you to move around easily.

Also bear in mind that the temperature and humidity in Phuket is quite high so we advise the use of light cotton fabrics, beach wear and sarongs.

You don’t need to worry about anything else, for we have prepared a Complimentary Gift Basket for each one of You, including a Manduka Beginner’s Yoga Kit (mat, strap, block and towel), Thai Spa Products and a Beginner’s Guide, carefully developed with the knowledge of our Masters

First Approach

A yoga class is meant to be a space without judgment. It isn’t about Competition!

Leave all your worries behind and don’t focus in keeping up with everyone.

Relax! You are on Holidays!

To ensure that you go at your own pace and do everything safely, we only host 4 Couples at a time in this Beginner’s Retreat, so that the Teachers may work close with each one of You with personal tips for alignment and positioning, allowing everyone to Learn Together respecting One’s Rhythm.
